A DIFFERENT SHADE OF GREEN
I'm The Go To Green Girl when it comes to GREENING YOUR HOME, YOUR LIFE or YOUR BUSINESS.
As well as being an actress for many years (Coronation Street, New Tricks, Titanic & Mr Holland's Opus, From Paris With Love) I trained as an interior designer at UCLA in Los Angeles with some of the foremost green architects in the world. They introduced me to the wonders of sustainable design and I learnt that the houses we live in and the process of building them can be more harmful to the environment than the cars we drive. As I research and write this blog I have become something of an Eco & Sustainable Design & Lifestyle Expert.
In 2006 I left the sunshine and beaches of Los Angeles to return home to the UK and live in London. Based on my own challenges to live a more sustainable life, this has become the place where I share my news and views on STYLISH eco and green solutions to living on our beautiful planet.
Please send me any cool green ideas, features, articles or websites you would like me to include on the left here. I love meeting other green people - even if it's only a slight green tinge: you don't have to be as Catholic as The Pope in these things - and sharing interesting stories on what's green around the world and my city.
My dream is to one day build and live on the converted Dutch barge on the river Thames that I have designed. Drawn all the scale drawings and everything... I'll let you know when we break ground on that one...
Quintessentially I believe you don't have to be extremely rich or slightly strange to live a green and ethical lifestyle and I aim to show you how.
